Classic Bowl Games

ESPN Classic to Rebroadcast Some of Best Bowls

ESPN Classic is allowing fans to vote on the ESPN Web site as to which classic bowl games they'd like to watch as a kickoff to the 2008 college football bowl season.

Fans who visit the ESPN Web site can pick from 27 classic bowl games, and ESPN Classic will air the 12 of them that receive the most votes in two configurations.

The first configuration will run Dec. 16-19 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern. Three games per day will run on ESPN Classic in two-hour condensed versions, beginning with the game that receives the 12th most votes and finishing with the #1 voted classic bowl game.

The second configuration will only be available on ESPN.com and on ESPN VOD beginning Dec. 14. At those sites, ESPN will offer two bowl games per day, running backward in ranking from 12th to first. Each game at the Web site and on ESPN VOD will be a condensed 15-minute version of the games.
